The Asian Society for Engineering Education (AsiaSEE), founded in 2019, is the first Asian regional network of educational institutions with commitment to improve engineering education. It aims to provide a solid foundation and a vibrant forum for all members, institutions, industries, stakeholders and like-minded societies to exchange ideas, deepen understanding and work in collaboration for the purpose of enhancing engineering education via research and practice for the future generation. There are more than twenty Founding Members who are all leaders from higher education institutions across Asia supporting this regional network.

The Founding President of AsiaSEE is Associate Professor Dr Cecilia Chan, the Head of Professional Development, Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, The University of Hong Kong.

The R & D Centre for Smart Manufacturing at Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan, China is a multi-functional R & D centre that creates exclusive intelligent manufacturing solutions for the mould and injection moulding industry. The Centre also provides industry and academic chain services, including high-level and exclusive R & D talent cultivation, training courses, and industry-academia Cooperative development, etc. The current Smart cloud platform at the Centre which encompasses the smart machining system, smart moulding system and iCMold for the moulding industry is not only collecting real-time manufacturing information, but also preserving data and knowledge management. It provides turn-key solutions for industry to achieve fully smart automation manufacturing processes.

Being a UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre, Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZJTIE) has taken part in multilateral negotiation on UNESCO vocational education policy framework, hosted or participated in international leading vocational education research programs funded by UNESCO, and undertaken international vocational education forums and high-level international education and training expert seminars. Its projects include UNESCO Chinese Higher Vocational Education Joint Reform Plan Higher Vocational Education Teacher Education and Training. As one of the first “Zhejiang International Characteristic Higher Education Institutes”, it attaches great importance to cooperation with international superior vocational education resources and has conducted cooperative teaching with quality institutions from the U.K. and Singapore, recruiting international students to study in ZJTIE. It set up the “ZJTIE-CIEDI International Education Center” in Cambodia, and initiated the establishment of The Belt & Road Alliance for International Applied Education and Training in which it takes the post of the General Secretary.

Established in 2012, The Yunus Social Business Centre at UKM (YSBC UKM) has a mission to promote and develop social business to reduce social problems among marginalised Malaysia. The main activities of the Centre include building and applying social business awareness to the community through promotional programmes, education, roadshows and networking, providing social business development and training programmes for the community, researching and studying social development through business, community needs studies and social business impact studies on communities.
